Image Clinic was born because we found ourselves in a unique position to offer editorial quality work to people who could really benefit from having those kind of images but might not get cast on those kind of shoots. Image Clinic is a portfolio and headshot service under the production company Psycho|Saints – led by London based creative team, Oliver Prout and Jamie Sprovach. We shoot editorial quality bespoke, tailored shots with different looks, lighting and settings, so you get a great portfolio – whether it’s just for you and your friends and family, or you need a highly professional portfolio for modelling, acting or music work. It’s a strictly limited service – we generally only shoot at weekends and only a few times each year.

What kind of images do you shoot for the Image Clinic?

Each shoot is bespoke; tailored to you. When you register, we’ll ask you about yourself and what you’re looking for in regards to your shoot. A typical shoot might be actor’s head shots, musician’s portraits or portfolio shots for a model. Or it might be that you just want some great pictures for yourself or your family! Once we know what you want, we will build the shoot around you. Because of this, when you come to the studio, we already have the shoot planned out and we know exactly what images we’re making (whether it’s just headshots, includes full looks, etc.). We know what kind of shots you want – so you get the shots that work for you.

How long does a session last?

Our Basic and Standard Packages are approximately two hours (one hour in front of the camera and 45 mins reviewing the photos taken). Our Premium Package, which includes having an on site makeup artist at your disposal, averages about 2.5 hours. That being said, each shoot is a journey to bring the most out of you, so we try to be flexable and use the time we have; That way we get great results – even with the shyest subject.

How many people do you shoot a day?

Typically only four people in a day. As we said – we need to spend time with you and get the best results.

How does payment work?

We’re upfront about our methods of working and your investment. To secure your booking you pay a £50.00 deposit which is deducted from the package you select (see Packages and Pricing section for details). The final balance of the package is due on the day of the shoot, prior to receiving your photos on USB.

Do you reject any applicants?

Sometimes. We need to produce the best possible work and will reject applications from people who are not doing it for the right reasons. We do not sell images to clients if we know that the images won’t help them. For example: a guy or girl applying saying ‘I want to be a top fashion model, nothing else will do’, but they’re simply not tall enough. After all, the work goes out with our name on it. Every good photographer likes to have a real “spark” and reason for doing it in order to get good pictures back, and we want to be sure to produce a portfolio or headshot that you’re thrilled with.

Image Clinic was born because we found ourselves in a unique position to offer editorial quality of work to people who could really benefit from having those kind of images but might not be cast on those kind of shoots. Another important reason is that we can really help people feel better about the way they see themselves. One of our previous clients had been told she was ugly by some tactless relative. Needless to say she wasn’t. We helped her look amazing and she left with a lot more confidence than she came in with. We like it when that happens – and so do our clients.

Oliver Prout

Founder and Photographer

Oli is a photographer, director, and founder of the video production company, Psycho|Saints. His illustrious career in photography and film has seen him shoot fashion, editorials, celebrities, promotional material, music videos and commercials for clients such as The National Theatre, Vogue, BBC, Warner Music, Sony, Virgin Records, and many more. He is good with lighting, telling stories, creating effects, and great at bringing out the best in people.

Jamie Sprovach

Director of Operations

Jamie is a producer, actress, lighting designer and Director of Operations for the video production company, Psycho|Saints. She has had the opportunity to perform on stage and screen in the United States (including managing over 20 different productions), and produce various projects at Psycho|Saints. Her experience in theatre and television has given her a unique insight into the talent sector, both in casting and being cast.
